Investment Analyst
What drives me is…
a profound sense of responsibility towards my community. I think being young is an opportunity to start, create, fail and start again, as we owe it to ourselves and our communities to at least try to make a difference and positive impact on our environment.
I’m working in Finance because…
it is at the root of the start up creation process. I would like to expand my knowledge about the various steps of this process while further developing my modeling/valuation skills, so one day I can start my own company.
I am fascinated by…
the process through which small startups become successful companies that have a direct impact on the global economy but also on our habits and behavior.
Great founders…
inspire tremendous teams. I think any organization’s success depends not only on the people who manage it but also on the people who founded it.
From the future I expect…
arduous challenges but even more ingenious solutions.
Hire people who…
are reliable and have great appetite for learning.
The value that most represents me is…
reliability. It is a priority for me to respect every commitment I undertake and see it come to fruition. To my mind, reliability is key and the source of trustworthiness among colleagues as well as business partners.
GründerAtelier is…
a fantastic organization that I am lucky to be part of. It is an incredible learning experience to work with companies at a very early stage of their lifetime, and to do it with such a competent team is thrilling!
Background: I originally come from Rabat, capital city of Morocco. I grew up there and studied there until 2018 when I passed the entrance exams to the French Business Schools and joined Neoma BS in Rouen, France. After my 1st year at NEOMA I did a summer internship as a Credit Analyst which sparked my interest in finance. After that I started my master program in september 2019 and booked as many finance courses to speed up my progression in this field. I also chose to start a gap year after finishing my first master year and successfully secured an internship as a financial controller in Hedge Fund in Paris. This internship really helped me develop my skills in finance modeling as I gained many insights on the french asset management landscape. After 6 months with LFIS Capital, I then applied for the Investment Analyst position at GrunderAtelier (which was my 1st choice amongst other internships) I passed the 3 rounds of interviews and was rewarded with an offer.
Studies: I graduated in 2016 from the French High School in Rabat (Lycée Descartes) with a baccalaureate in Science, specialized in mathematics, with Honors. Then I dedicated myself for 2 years to the preparation of the entrance exams to the French business School (Grandes Ecoles de Commerces). In 2018, I successfully joined Neoma Business School in Rouen to complete my Master’s degree.
Interests: besides work and academics, I love martial arts, combat sports and basketball. I practised Karaté for 5 years and Aikido for 2 years. Then I dived into MMA and finally settled on Boxing, which I started 6 years ago. Basketball came more recently, I rediscovered my interest in it and improved my handles!
